Marking the 75th year of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, the Shimoga Jamaat distributed over 1600 liters of Refreshments to over 8000 school children and parents on the eve of the 64th Republic Day of India (26th Jan) at the Nehru Stadium in Shimoga.

26 Jan 2013: Every year during the Republic Day thousands of school children from different schools in the district take part in the Celebrations at the Nehru Stadium at Shimoga. After the celebrations there was always a shortage of drinking water for the thirsty children. So Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya decided to distribute water and refreshments to all participants.

This year 8000 children from 34 schools participated in the Republic Day celebrations. Alhumdullilah the Jamaat took up this opportunity to serve them all.

The preparation for the program had started a week before the Event. On the day of the event Khuddam, Atfal and Ansarullah offered Tahajjud and fajr at the Mosque and headed straight to the Stadium. We had setup a tent from where we did the distribution.

Being a National Celebration the stadium had high profile guests, local administration, political leaders and Government servants. The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Mr K S Eshwarappa was the chief guest, District Commissioner Mr. Veda Murty and Member of Parliament Mr. Ayanur Manjunath were also present.

The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Mr K.S. Eshwarappa also took part in distribution of soft drink at our tents and expressed his happiness and remarked it as a great service that Jamaath had organized.

Recalling the Eid Milan Celebrations organized by the Jamaat at which he had attended, he appreciated the Jamaath to continue the good service to humanity.
