Maybe religion is the result of our neurons firing chemical signals at one another. Maybe it is a mistake caused by natural selection. Or maybe it is the by-product of society’s effort to impose authority. On the other hand, maybe not. Has science explained religion after all?
The Enlightenment, or the Age of Reason, began in the mid-1600s in Europe. People began to question old institutions and traditions and base their knowledge of the world on reason. Prior to the Enlightenment, religion did not seem to need explanation. Rather, people generally looked to religion to understand the universe around them and their place in it. Beginning with the Enlightenment, however, people started to explain the universe from secular points of view. As the scientific worldview gained popularity, scientists started to look at the phenomenon of religion itself differently. The following modern Western thinkers have approached the existence of religion from a variety of scientific perspectives.

The ‘Enlightenment’ was a Christian ‘need’, as the Christian Church moved far away from science and reason. There are some people who think that the Muslims need it. May be yes, but not in the same way as Christians. It was the Catholic Church that insisted that the earth was flat. There is no such contradiction in the Qur’an. – Enlightenment for a Muslim (and others) is what The Muslim Times provides!
Science can not explain ISLAM but Islam(The Holy Quran) explains science-Knowledge of science, so far, is a mere drop of water in the KNOLEDGE of the VERITIES of the Holy Quran. Muslim scientists of the past and The Nobel Laureate Pakistani Ahmadi Muslim in this age found inspiration & guidance by pondering over the VERSES of scintific KNOWLEDGE of the Holy QURAN-THE WORD OF ALLAH(GOD) and related them to the EXPANDING UNIVERSES CREATED BY ALLAH SUBHAN O TA ALA.
THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION IN THE RELIGION OF ISLAM. In fact, ALL RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE BEFORE ISLAM WAS TEMPORARY,LIMITED and was not PRESERVED in its ORIGINAL FORM-GOT ADULTRATED & TWISTED WITH THE PASSAGE OF TIME BECAUSE IT WAS NOT RECORDED PROPERLY, HENCE, THE NEED OF THE GLORIOUS QURAN E KAREEM RECORDED NOT ONLY IN WRITING BUT IN THE MEMORIES OF THE COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET OF ISLAM-HADHRAT MUHAMMAD,SAW, AS SOON AS REVEALED-AUTHENTIC INDEED AND PRESERVED INTACT FOR THE PAST FIFTEEN CENTURIES.Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad,the PRONISED MESSIAH EXPOUNDED & RENAISSANCED ISLAM IN THIS AGE AND HIS KHULAFA KEEP ON ENLIGHTENING WITH THE QURANIC KNOWLEDGE SCIENTIFICALLY EVEN TODAY-THE SUN & MOON of ISLAM are BRILLIANTLY SHINNING,INDEED!!!
