Google doodles Royal Bengal tiger to celebrate Indian Republic Day

New Delhi, Jan 26: India celebrated 64th Republic Day with great grandeur at Rajpath in New Delhi on Saturday, Jan 26. Google too joined the celebrations. As a mark of honour Google has doodled a Royal Bengal tiger on the India homepage.
A Royal Bengal tiger in Google stripes and a jungle-like motif with the lotus flower and the India Gate in the background is how Google has honoured the national festival of India.
On 26th January 1950, India’s own constitution came into effect and thus the nation celebrated the day as Republic Day.
This is not for the first time Google has celebrated Republic Day with a doodle. In fact, this is for the 3rd time Google has come up with a doodle on the occasion of Republic Day. Read more
