Huzur said that commemoration of the day as such is not forbidden with the condition that no harmful innovation is involved.

Hi there,
I am doing a project at school about the festival Eid Milad un Nabi.
I was wondering what Muslims do on this day such as: what do they eat? What do they do? Are any gifts given out? Special services? Traditions?
And any other information would be great!
Thanks!
