AMMAN — The Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) office in the Kingdom on Thursday received $1 million donated by the Muslim community in Australia to support Syrian refugees in Jordan.
According to an IRW statement, an Australian delegation presented the financial assistance to the organisation during a visit to the Kingdom to become acquainted with efforts to support Syrian refugees.
The delegation visited Syrian families at the Zaatari Refugee Camp in addition to a number of injured Syrians receiving treatment at the Islamic Hospital.
