LONDON: Britain’s House of Lords member Lord Gilbert on Friday stunned peers by suggesting that a neutron bomb could be used to create a “cordon sanitaire” in troubled border regions such as the one between Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to media reports, the member of the upper house of the UK’s parliament said, during a debate over eliminating nukes across the world, that the borders could be made safe after dropping ERRB warheads commonly known as neutron bombs in the respective areas.
