The Ahmadiyya community in Australia is holding a Peace Symposium this weekend and it says it wants to reach the broader community with its message of peace and tolerance.

The Ahmadiyya faith is a branch of Islam but the community has recently come under attack by hardliners who see them as a heretical sect, particularly in Indonesia.

Last year, three members of the group were beaten to death by Muslim radicals who were calling for the banning of the group in Indonesia.
