Al Ain: The weather has not been kind to people fasting during Ramadan. The temperature in some desert areas shot up to 50 degrees Celsius in the first few days of the month.
People are avoiding outdoor activities given the tough conditions.
In towns such Al Ain, Suwaihan and Umm Al Zumol, forecasters have reported temperatures of 50 degrees Celsius and above. Even Abu Dhabi city saw the temperature rising to 47 degrees Celsius.
