Holy Qur’an open house visits Portage

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Canada (AMYA) hosted a exhibition on the Holy Qur’an at Portage and District Library, Thursday, with the aim of promoting peace, condemning terrorism, and dispelling myths about Islam.

Over the past 14 months AMYA has visited over 337,000 houses in 200 communities with the help of over 2,600 volunteers.

AMYA is an auxiliary wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, a non-profit charitable religious organization which operates in over 200 countries worldwide with over 65 chapters across Canada.

Noman Kalil, a member of the national executive committee of the AMYA faith outreach program said the exhibition is part of a ten-day jaunt across the Prairies which was inspired by the recent burning of the Qur’an in Florida.

“We thought the most peaceful way to react would be to hold open houses and let people actually see what is actually in the Holy Qur’an,” said Kalil.

The open house tour will be hitting ten different towns in three different provinces over a ten-day stretch. The exhibition was in Brandon yesterday, and tomorrow it will move west to Moose Jaw, Sask. before continuing on to the rest of Saskatchewan and into Alberta.

“The main message is we are basically trying to create religious harmony and we’re trying to create peace between people. We’re trying to get rid of the misconceptions about Islam that people have,” said Kalil. “There’s a lot of misconceptions: the suppression to women, the new Jihad, the honour killing that is going on. We want to show people that Islam does not allow any of this.”

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 40:Mohamed is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal (Last) of the Prophets. And Allah is the knower of everything.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) has said in many authentic narrations: “There is no Prophet after me.”

Allah and His Messenger (saws) have clearly declared that Mohamed (saws) is the Last Prophet and there are no Prophets after him. Neither will there be any Revelations revealed to anybody else after Prophet Mohamed (saws).

Thus, one who testifies that there is no god except Allah Alone, and Mohamed (saws) is His Final Messenger; will be considered a muslim.

Anyone who believes that there is a another Prophet after Prophet Mohamed (saws) who was appointed by Allah, and he received Revelations; he will not be considered a muslim. It does matter what name he keeps or what he does, because of his belief that there is another Prophet after Prophet Mohamed (saws), he leaves the fold of Islam.

The Ahmadis are not recognized as muslims because they believe that Mirza Ghulam Ahmed is a prophet and that he received revelations from Allah.

If we were to give a detailed explanation of their fantastic philosophies, it would indeed require a book. Many eminent and worthy scholars of Islam have written books about the Ahmadi menace and issues, and it would be worthwhile to read some of those to gain an in-depth knowledge of their philosophies and false beliefs, if one indeed wants to understand the Ahmadi issue.

May Allah help the muslims to unite as One Ummah
