Chinese President Hu Jintao on Tuesday held talks with his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski, and both agreed to advance bilateral relations to a level of strategic partnership.
President Hu hailed the development of Sino-Polish relations since the two states established diplomatic ties in 1949, and especially after their friendly cooperative partnership was forged in 2004.
The two sides increased high-level exchanges, expanded trade and economic cooperation, and coordinated effectively within international organizations like the United Nations, Hu told Komorowski, the first Polish president to visit China in 14 years.
