Chinese, Polish Presidents Hold Talks, Agree to Enhance Bilateral Ties

Chinese President Hu Jintao on Tuesday held talks with his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski, and both agreed to advance bilateral relations to a level of strategic partnership.

President Hu hailed the development of Sino-Polish relations since the two states established diplomatic ties in 1949, and especially after their friendly cooperative partnership was forged in 2004.

The two sides increased high-level exchanges, expanded trade and economic cooperation, and coordinated effectively within international organizations like the United Nations, Hu told Komorowski, the first Polish president to visit China in 14 years.
