JEDDAH: The chairman of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogues (DICID) has emphasized the need for greater cooperation and coordination among Muslim organizations that work to promote dialogue between different cultures and religions to boost world peace and stability.

Professor Ibrahim Naimi said such integrated efforts would not only strengthen the impact of interfaith dialogue forums but also enhance the reputation of the Ummah.

The DICID chief made this comment during a meeting with Abdul Aziz Valiyaveetil, executive member and overseas coordinator of the International Interfaith Dialogue India (IIDI).

Naimi and Abdul Aziz evaluated the “encouraging” outcome of “positive dialogue” platforms initiated by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and the Doha-based World Council of Muslim Scholars.

“The synergy of these dialogue platforms should be consolidated in order to achieve their common goals,” he said.
