Why are we involved in the affairs of Libya?

Obama in violation of War Powers Act

U.S. Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Dick Durbin and the other Democrats are trying to give cover to President Barack Obama for using our military in Libya. This is a violation of our Constitution and the War Powers Act.

The War Powers Act is a federal law intended to check the power of the president in committing the United States to an armed conflict without the consent of Congress.

The resolution was adopted in the form of a Congressional Joint Resolution in 1973.

The president can send American troops into action abroad only by authorization of Congress or in case of “a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.”
