Quran recitation contest held in Dubai

DUBAI (WAM)- Over 500 people took part in a Quran recitation contest in Dubai that was held to “scout for new talents”, officials said.

The competition was for best recitation of the verses of the holy book, held as part of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.

The organising committee said the contest was aimed at scouting for new talents in recitation and to provide them with necessary training and knowledge of the art.
