This video shows the highlights of the Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Sri Lanka Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at which was held on Sunday the 12th May 2013 at Ahmadiyya Jubilee Hall, Periyamulla, Negombo. The Markaz Representative Mr. Khalid Mahmoodul Hassan Bhatti was the Chief Guest. The day-long program started with pre-dawn prayers and the main event started at 9.00 a.m. with flag-hoisting followed by silent prayers.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community was founded in March 23, 1889 under Divine Command by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) of Qadian, India. He claimed to be the expected reformer of the latter days and the awaited one of the world’s religions (the Messiah and Mahdi of the latter days). His mission was to revive the peaceful teachings of Islam and engender in people’s hearts the love of God and the duty to serve mankind. He wrote many books aimed at explaining the meaning behind scriptures and in particular to clarify misconceptions that had crept in over time. He bought no new law or teachings, but was dedicated to reviving the true peaceful message of Islam as was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

  1. YOU …..(censored)….MUSLIMS FROM SRI LANKA. YOU DON’T BELONG TO SRI LANKA. YOU ARE CORRUPT, DEVIOUS,OPPORTUNISTIC, UNPRINCIPLED, UNETHICAL TRADERS. SRI LANKA IS A BUDDHIST COUNTRY. GO TO PAKISTAN OR SAUDI ARABIA – AND TAKE YOUR …..(censored)…..KING PROPHET AND MOSQUES WITH YOU, SINCE SAUDI ARABIA AND MUSLIM COUNTRIES DO NOT TOLERATE BUDDHIST TEMPLES OR WORSHIP.

    • It seems to me that Sri Lanka is in great need of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Motto ‘Love for All and Hatred for None’. Well, in Malaysia and Indonesia I know there are Buddhist Temples and they are treated with respect. I am sure that among the Muslim population of Sri Lanka there are some good people and some not so good ones, like in all human societies. We should try to live together in peace and benefit from each other. What happened? In the past the Muslims of Sri Lanka were well respected and integrated. Is the ‘Myanmar air’ flowing to Sri Lanka? (anti Muslim riots). Now the Tamil civil war is over I was hoping that Sri Lanka could enjoy prosperity and peace. Let’s not slide into another conflict!!! Please keep visiting http://www.themuslimtimes.org and http://www.alislam.org for a peaceful ISLAM!
